How to maintain the competition ball?

Carbon steel is prone to oxidation. It requires more maintenance than a stainless steel pétanque ball. To prevent rust from forming, certain habits should be adopted. Clean your triplet with a chamois after each use. This will remove the dust from your Obut TON’R. Then, using a damp sponge and Marseille soap, wash the ball. Once it is completely dry, proceed with oiling it with gun oil or greasing it with petroleum jelly. Maintenance sprays are also suitable.
