Are you just starting in competition and unsure about which pétanque ball to choose? The Obut Match Carbone ball is perfect for a beginner in boules sports. This versatile triplet from the Obut brand allows for great full-shooting and precise pointing with a plombé (weighted) shot.
This pétanque ball is the most affordable option among the competition balls from Obut. It is designed for players who haven't yet found their preferred position in pétanque. Additionally, its excellent price-to-quality ratio makes it a great option for your first set of balls.
The carbon material used in this half-soft ball ensures a good grip. Its balance is also correct, and it adapts well to all types of terrain. Initially, it’s normal for the triplet to feel a little slippery. This is due to the finish applied by Obut. If you don’t like this effect, just wait a few weeks; the layer will tend to wear off and disappear over time.
Colour : Satin black
Material : Carbon Steel
Hardness : Half-soft (120 kg/mm)2)
Diameter : from 71 mm to 76 mm
Weight : from 650g to 730g
Warranty : 3 years
The Obut Match Carbone ball is FFPJP-approved. Despite its price, it has a reasonable lifespan. This triplet is available on Pétanque Web and comes with a cochonnet, a jack, a fabric pouch, and a warranty card upon purchase.
Carbon tends to oxidize, so it’s essential to maintain your Obut Match Carbone balls. Start by dry cleaning with a chamois, then do a full wash with water and soap. Once the ball is clean and dry, it's time to apply Obut’s spray. If you don’t have any specific maintenance products, petroleum jelly and grease oil can also work.
